Things are hotting up in Yellowstone with the rumour mill suggesting that big cast shake-ups are on the way.
According to the insiders show veteran Kevin Costner is in talks to sail off into the sunset while we could be seeing another famous face donning a stetson.
The neo-style western follows the family drama of the Duttons, the largest ranch owners in Montana.
Costner plays John Dutton and has been part of the franchise since 2018 but maybe not for much longer.
According to sources, the issue seems to be about his availability with reports suggesting that he is available for fewer days as the series developed.
Yellowstone producers were quick to pour cold water on the departure rumours and insisted that they hope the actor will continue with the show.
A statement reported by Deadline reads: ‘We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come.
Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built.
On the flip side, speculation is rife that Matthew McConaughey could be about to sign on to star in the Yellowstone spin-off series.
The source revealed that: ‘Matthew and Taylor are fans of each other’s work and have been speaking about ways they can work together. ‘
Show bosses were equally coy about the Dallas Buyers Club potentially joining the Yellowstone family.
The statement goes on to say: ‘Matthew and Taylor are fans of each other’s work and have been speaking about ways they can work together.
Costner would be a huge loss to the series if the departures rumours are correct, earlier this year he won a Best Actor Golden Globe for his performance on the show.
He previously said of the show’s success to People: ‘I’ve always believed a good Western isn’t always just rushing towards its gunfight.
If you can create language and situations, and then you end up at a gunfight, I think it can be an amazing movie or TV show,
