Britney Spears has slammed reports that her family are planning on staging an intervention, fiercely denying claims that they fear for her life.

Just hours before her social media rant, TMZ posted a story claiming that those closest to her had become alarmed by her ‘erratic’ and ‘volatile’ behaviour. They reported that a source close to Britney was afraid that she was ‘going to die.’

When the Hold Me Closer singer caught wind of this she went straight to her social media to express her unhappiness, claiming it made her feel ‘sick.’

Posting a quote on a pale pink background that read ‘A state of gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency,’ she let her anger lose in the caption.

‘It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for some people to make up stories that I almost died,’ Britney began, ‘I mean at some point enough is enough!!!

‘I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there are obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!!

‘I’m honestly not surprised at all…Again doing the best I can!!! Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007…it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home.’

She added: ‘I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room !!! As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!

The singer’s statement comes after her husband Sam Asghari spoke to Acess Hollywood’s Mario Lopez to deny that any intervention took place.

He told the reporter: ‘An intervention did not occur. My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately.’

Fans of the singer have been worried about her well-being after it was reported that she was seen having a ‘meltdown’ in a restaurant last month with her husband.
