Elaine Crowley always brings the glamour on the red carpet but there’s one dress in her wardrobe that proved quite controversial.

Fashion is a fickle friend and what might wow one day can be cringe-inducing later down the line. None of us are immune to it ladies!

The presenter served up a fashion flashback as she reflected on her ‘most hated’ dress of all time.

It was her dramatic Grecian gown that she wore to the IFTAs back in 2013 which boasted flowing long sleeves, a plunging neckline and silver embellishment on the torso and shoulders.

She accessorised the gown with a pair of strappy silver heels and also rocked a statement silver ring.

The rich cobalt shade was absolutely gorgeous on the Cork broadcaster and she wore her glossy locks in loose waves and opted for a glamorous makeup look with dramatic dark eyeshadow and light pink lipstick.

Reflecting on her red carpet moment on social media, Elaine wrote: ’10th anniversary of the most hated dress I ever wore!’

‘Time flies,’ she added.

We think she looked absolutely fabulous!

Through the years, a series of Irish style stars have poked fun at their red carpet wardrobes.

Take for example Lisa Fitzpatrick who said her VIP Style Award gown from 2007 made her look like a Vegas showgirl.
